wow... Canada is AWESOME... Today it's my 5th day away from home and so far I've seen everything from Toronto to Vancouver. I spent pretty much all of Friday packing for this trip only to repack at 3am in the morning on Saturday and went to sleep at 4am and woke up at 5am to get ready and go to the bus terminal at Union Stationd downtown Toronto. Getting on board was a mission, we had ran into a few problems at the station with buying tickets and then finding a way to get our bikes packed onto the train. We got to the baggage station with 4 minutes to take apart our bikes and store them in boxes. After that we ran to the train and caught it just in time. The ride was nice and relaxing. It took us 28 hours to get out Ontario and into Manitoba. Our First stop was in Sudbury, Ontario and we got our, took a few pictures, bought groceries, and got back on the train.

We then stopped at Sioux Lookout, Ontario a few hours later to do the same thing and to go poo in a non-moving toilette. The trains didn't have any showers, and running water was scarce so we couldn't wash up too well. We slept in the chairs we sat in but we had the choice to go to other parts of the train such as the skytrain that had a 360 degree window to see all around us. We took lotsa pictures that I'll try n post when i got a chance.

On Sunday afternoon we arrived in Winnipeg, Manitoba and we got a chance to walk around and stretch for a bit, bought some more groceries for the train (cup noodels) and then jumped back on.

Most of Manitoba was just corn fields that turned into lakes because of the flood so there really wasn't much to see and do. On monday we arrived in Saskatoon but at 2am in the morning so i was asleep so didn't do much. Monday we had the most stops, First we got to Edmonton.

Edmonton's rail system was really crappy cause they got relocated to the outskirts of town so it really sucked... like we got dropped off in a field... by thge airport... so i took pictures of planes...

Okay, so then we went to Jasper and stopped to look around the town. We got a few maps and trail guides for our stay next week. We're planning on biking the 35km trail up the mountain and staying at the hostel up there and then coming back down the next day to catch our final train home.

After Jasper we stopped in Kamloops and finally in Vancouver Tuesday morning at 7am.

This day was probably our longest and hardest. When we arrived in the station Bryan and I looked at the map to find where my aunt lived and on the map it really didn't seem that long. So off we went with 75lbs on our back and riding through the streets of Vancouver. BAD IDEA... We pretty much biked across the entire city of Vancouver in about 3.5 hours and I ended up popping the chain off my bike because of the added weight from my pack lol It snapped about half way so we ended up walking the rest of the way to a bike shop where i got it replaced and then arrived at my aunt's place later. After a well rested 2 hours we went back downtown (by car this time)

and passed by the English Bay area and went to most of downtown's tourist attractions and went to dinner afterwards with some family friends. The next day we left at 4am to take a Taxi back to the station we had arrived at on tuesday morning and took the bus to Whistler SKi resort!!
We got there around 7:45am and we had enough time to see one of Bryan's buddies who worked at the local ski rental store and he hooked us up with some rentals. After a day of snowboarding we have concluded that Whistler is HUUUUGE. Its so big it has 3 different climate zones!! its raining at ground level, and snowing a huge storm at the top!
We had like a 4 foot visibility because of the storm so we had to go really slow. Later in the day Bryan dropped his ski pole from the lift so we had to ski down a double black diamond to get it. Mountain black diamonds are SOOOO much harder than our black diamonds... MY GOD... The first part of the hill was an 8 foot drop and then a steep incline. Bryan jumped in first only to tumble halfway while I stood at the top thinking, "no way in hell!" but i eventually followed and had the same result, anyways we got the skipole and then said screw this, lets go to Blackcomb lol

After the day was done we chilled in the village and had a great rest at our hotel. On thursday (Today) we decided not to stay another day cause everypart of our bodies were killing so we returned our lift tickets and rentals and jumped on the next bus back to Vancouver.

In Vancouver the weather was raining as usual and we just wandered around town for a while and caught a bus to UBC where we're at now chilling with Matt. Tonight we're gonna hit up Sushi Buffet in RIchmond and get ready for a long bike ride around Vancouver tomorrow morning. I'm just about ready to come home now but there's still so much to do. It hasnt even been a week yet!! I'm DYING... ack.. and so is my bank account... If you're reading this Vicki i wanna say that i really miss you and I hope you're doing fine=D Good luck with your exams and I'll try to stay in contact as best i as i can before you're big day=D

Lots more to do and tell!! STay tuned!!
